About Me

Hey, I'm Colton! I’m a software engineer living in Austin, TX. I built my first website in 2008 and have never looked back. I like working out, running, fishing, and building cool things.
I created this website after I realized the previous version I had up had not been touched in 4 years. This site is intentionally minimal — content-first, fast, and responsive. The content on this website is mainly for me, but I hope the students I mentor and others might find some of my projects, tutorials, and writing to be helpful in some way.

What I'm Up To

Currently looking for a new full-time position. Working on a variety of projects, fitness, mentorship, and some fiction reading.

  • Mentoring 3 newly grads through the New York based The City Tutors
  • Training for the Austin Marathon taking place in February of 2026
  • Working on some fun projects: This Website, MMAA, Stock Merge, Baffin Cabins
  • Reading Jurasic Park by Michael Crichton & Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
